More than 1,000 local residents helped raise monies that were donated to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund during an event series titled the Final Friday Wine Walk. $15,330 was raised this spring for the local charity during the three events in March, April and May 2016.
“Our relationship with the management team at Waverly Place and the individual store owners has been fantastic. We love any time we can be a part of a first-class event in the community Coach Yow called home for more than 30 years,” said Stephanie Glance, executive director, Kay Yow Cancer Fund. “Waverly Place is actively helping to raise money to fight all women’s cancers and spread awareness of the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.”
“Thank you to all of our sponsors, tenant partners and employees for helping us set a new fundraising record through this fun event, and enabling us to give back to the community we call home,” said Mary Langdon, general manager of Waverly Place. “Since purchasing Waverly Place in 2015, Northwood Retail has emphasized making the center a lifestyle destination for Triangle residents, investing in events that improve the quality of life in our community.”
