Northwood Retail has signed deals with CorePower Yoga and Parlor Blow Dry Bar to locate in Waverly Place, Cary’s premier shopping and entertainment center. This follows on the footsteps of The Joint Chiropractic, leasing space at Waverly Place in January of this year.
CorePower Yoga will occupy 4,983 sq. ft. on the upper level of the two-story shopping center. Parlor Blow Dry Bar will occupy 1,500 sq. ft., also on the upper level. This is the second Triangle location for Core Power Yoga, with studios in 20 states across the U.S. The first North Carolina location opened in Cameron Village in November 2015. For Parlor Blow Dry Bar, founded in Raleigh in 2014, this is the third Triangle location. Both businesses anticipate opening the summer of 2016, with several other retailers in the pipeline according to director of leasing, Jonathan Stewart.
“The brick-and-mortar retail environment is all about experience and convenience for the retail shopper,” says Ward Kampf, president of Northwood Retail, a division of Northwood Investors that purchased Waverly Place in January 2015. “It is important to provide the customer a variety of quality services and destination-retail offerings that engage the shopper on a more frequent basis while also curating the overall tenant mix.”
For Waverly Place, a 207,000 sq. ft. Whole Foods-anchored retail center, the addition of CorePower Yoga and Parlor Blow Dry Bar expands the tenant mix, offering more upscale retailers and services to local Cary/Raleigh shoppers.
