Dewey’s Holiday Fundraising Store (operated by the Athens Drive High School band Program)

In its sixth year at Waverly Place, the Dewey’s Holiday Store is a fundraising pop-up operated by the Athens Drive High School Band Program. With an all-volunteer staff of band parents and students, the store is open each year through Christmas Eve to sell Dewey’s holiday favorites and a variety of other NC made products. Monies raised through the pop-up provide scholarships to deserving students, support travel, fund instrument and equipment purchases, and assist with band operational expenses. This year the band program is working to fund a spring trip to Disney World in Orlando, FL where both the marching band and concert band will perform inside the park. Dewey’s Bakery, located in Winston-Salem, NC, was founded in 1930. Their traditional Moravian cookies and sugar cakes have been a holiday staple in NC households for decades.
