Acoustic Nights in the Park All Summer

Enjoy the sounds of summer as Acoustic Nights in the Park return to Waverly Place every Wednesday through September from 6:00 to 9:00 pm!

The weekly series kicks off on Wednesday, June 1 and will run through Wednesday, September 28. Guests can enjoy a variety of acoustic acts each week including local favorites Craig Woolard, Tommy Niemann, Aaron Pelsue and more. Plan dinner at one of the restaurant patios or bring a blanket to The Park to enjoy the complimentary entertainment.  Families can also enjoy interactive strolling performers like jugglers, magicians, and balloon artists each week. Wine and beer will be available for purchase on-site. Coolers and outside alcohol are not permitted.

Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls’ Grand Opening

Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls will host a Grand Opening event on May 26 to celebrate its newest location in Cary at Waverly Place. At the event, Grand Opening attendees may enjoy Mason’s authentic New England-style lobster rolls and other offerings, starting at 11 a.m. Guests who mention the phrase “I love lobster” at the counter will receive a free cup of soup, side or fountain soda with the purchase of a lobster roll. In addition to sampling Mason’s lobster rolls and other offerings at the event, attendees can also enter to win free lobster for a year. One winner will receive a “Free Lobster for a Year” voucher, entitling the holder to one free lobster roll per week for one calendar year from the date of issuance. Value estimated at $730.

Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls has been rapidly expanding since opening its flagship Annapolis, Md., location in 2014. The fast-casual franchise has made lobster-lovers out of seafood fans by opening additional locations in Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Minnesota, North Carolina, South Carolina, Washington, D.C., Texas and Virginia. The new restaurant in Cary is located at 302 Colonades Way, Cary, NC 27518 on the Plaza Level of Waverly Place.

This is the second Mason’s restaurant in North Carolina, with another location in Raleigh also owned by Jon and Amy Narducci. Due to the success of the Raleigh location, there was an overwhelming amount of requests to bring lobster rolls to Cary. The Cary location is co-owned by Jon and Amy Narducci along with Ed Brawley. Ed, a Cary native, was introduced to Mason’s by the Narducci’s and instantly thought the Waverly Place area was a great place to open a Mason’s restaurant.

“After opening in Raleigh in 2019, we have had many loyal Mason’s fans asking us to expand in the Triangle area,” said Jon Narducci. “We thought Waverly Place Shopping Center in Cary would be the perfect place, and we can’t wait to bring our authentic lobster rolls to this side of town.” “Many people from the Northeast have moved to Cary over the years, and we’re glad we can offer up a taste of home to them,” added Ed Brawley. “We know lobster aficionados and novices in Cary are going to love it.”

Brunch & Picnics at Pineapple Sol

As picnic season picks up, Waverly Place is thrilled to welcome Pineapple Sol to the tenant mix!

Now open on The Park level across from Enrigo Italian Bistro, the picnic-style concept will serve breakfast, lunch and weekend brunch. The restaurant features fresh pastries, a seasonal menu, and a selection of custom charcuterie boards, cakes, desserts and catering services.

Waverly Place is Pineapple Sol’s first ever brick-and-mortar shop after female minority owners, Dahiana Vitabar and Aleena Azhar, successfully launched the businesses online in January 2021.  “The food we are serving comes inspired by our different cultures and backgrounds, especially the fresh pastries,” said Azhar. “We want the space to be the travel spot everyone visits, and the community loves to know. We plan to do special events such as high tea and other fun activities, along with popups with different chefs so we can bring different flavors to our seasonal menu.”

Coming This Spring: Wine & Brew Walk

This Spring, one of Waverly Place’s signature events returns with a new spin! Sip, shop and stroll as the Wine & Brew Walk event series kicks off Thursday, April 28 and continues on Thursday, May 26. From 5:00 to 8:00 pm, guests can head to Waverly Place to enjoy the springtime temperatures with family and friends while supporting a great cause. Be sure to mark your calendars for the fall series on the final Thursday in September & October.

Guests can sample red, white and sparkling wine along with local craft beers at select Waverly Place merchants. A $25 donation to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund to aid in the fight against all cancers affecting women allows access to the event, along with a sampling glass and Waverly Place Wine Walk Passport. Donations will be accepted at Kay Yow Cancer Fund booths located on-site in The Park and on the Plaza Level near Shake Shack. Tickets are also available in advance online. A list of participating retailers will be available on the individual event pages.

During each Wine & Brew Walk a local artist will be set up with live demonstrations and a sample of works. In addition, guests can purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win a piece of original art at the end of the event. All proceeds from raffle tickets will benefit Kay Yow Cancer Fund.

Welcome iCryo to Waverly Place

Cary is about to get a freeze of their own! iCRYO is set to open the doors of its second location in the Triangle on Saturday, January 29 at Waverly Place.

Pups & Pints in the Park

Waverly Place is excited to partner with Johnson Subaru for a new event headed to Waverly Place! Join us in The Park on Saturday, October 23 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm for Pups & Pints. Meet and greet adoptable pets from Second Chance Pet Adoptions while enjoying a variety of beers from Bombshell Beer Company. Guests can also enjoy live music, lawn games, pet costume contest, treats and more!

All proceeds from the event will benefit Second Chance Pet Adoptions. In addition to monetary donations through beer sales and games, Second Chance Pet Adoptions will be accepting supplies for the center. Bring donated items to the event to help us Stuff the Subaru!

Second Chance Pet Adoptions is Raleigh’s oldest no-kill animal rescue organization. As a nonprofit organization, donors enable us to carry out our mission: to champion homeless cats and dogs who are healthy or treatable in the quest to find their forever homes and engage with our community to promote responsible pet ownership, ultimately reducing future generations of homeless animals. Since our inception in 1987, we have given second chances to over 16,000 animals, all of whom have been spayed/neutered, microchipped (once available), and vaccinated before adoption. In addition to our rescue and adoption efforts, our work includes spaying and neutering hundreds of additional animals in the community each year to proactively prevent more puppies and kittens from being born into homelessness.

On Monday, March 15, the ‘PINK BOAT’ arrived at Waverly Place near Whole Foods! The boat will be on display at Waverly Place through the weekend as we support the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.

This Spring, The Kay Yow Cancer Fund and Savannah Boats are partnering to fight ALL cancers that affect women by raffling a custom-built 2021 PINK Savannah Boats SS21. This top-of-the-line 21’4 vessel with 10-person capacity is ideal for offshore fishing and cruising.
