About Dewey’s Bakery Holiday Store
For the fifth, year The Athens Drive Magnet High School Band Program is partnering with Dewey’s Bakery to bring their holiday favorites such as Moravian cookies, sugar cakes and cheese straws to the Triangle-area.
Located at Waverly Place in Cary near Shake Shack, the Dewey’s pop-up store is open each day through Christmas Eve. In addition to the popular Dewey’s holiday items, band members and boosters will be selling a wide variety of North Carolina products and local handmade items.
Products include lighted Moravian Stars, handmade ornaments, Silly Cow Hot Cocoa, 321 Coffee, Raleigh Tea Co., Carolina Kettle Chips, Chad’s Carolina Corn, 1949 Nut Co., Coco’s Gourmet Pimiento Cheese and local honey.
“We love the opportunity to bring all of the iconic Dewey’s treats and other locally sourced goods to the Triangle for the holidays,” Athens Drive Band Booster president Elena Casanova said. “Our students love working and performing in the shop at Waverly Place and the band loves connecting with our community.”
A portion of the store’s proceeds supports the Athens Drive band operations and travel, along with scholarships and instruments. Hours for the store are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 12 noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays. They will close on Thanksgiving Day.
